Oisho Bani Society having known the seriousness of COVID 19 pandemic in Tripura swiftly got into action to carry out relief work to the most vulnerable families in different places. Seeing the enormous work, need of large number of man power , Fr. Jeevan Kennady the Director of Oisho Bani Society called for an emergency meeting of  3 like minded NGOs and volunteers to carry forward the relief work ( Dry food material distribution)  simultaneously at different places in three districts; West Tripura, Khowai and Dhalai Districts.

We have distributed  till 11.4.2020 food items  like Rice ranginf from10 to 25kg per family, Pulse, oil, potato, soya beans, salt, onion to nearly 800 tribal and non tribal families and migrant labourers. Most the families who received the dry rations are; daily labourers,  Cycle rickshaw pullers, tea garden workers, Migrant workers.  We have also distributed masks and gloves. We have the plan to continue work in the coming days also
