Oisho Bani Society (OBS) with the support of Misean Cara is working for the development of farmers in Jirania and Jampujala Sub-Division. OBS has mobilized  300 farmers and formed into farmers clubs. There are 16 farmers clubs actively functioning. Regularly  various capacity building trainings and livelihood support  have been provided for the farmers by OBS. In order to  recognized, encourage and link the farmers to the market a Kisan Mela was organized on 10.01.2023 at Belbari, Champaknagar. 300 farmers took part in the Kisan Mela, each farmers  club put up stalls to showcased their organic farm products. Mr.Pinku Basal Debbarma , agri sector officer of Belbari was the chief guest and Br. M.K Devassy the Principal of Monfort School, Champaknagar and Fr. Valentine Dungdung the Secretary of OBS was the special  guests of honours. Fr.Jeevan Kennady ,the Director  of OBS in his inaugural  address  explained the purpose  of organizing Kisan Mela and explain the critical role played by the farmers in nation building. During the Kisan Mela ,16 water tanks, 16 medicine sprayers and 3 water pumps  were distributed  to the farmer’s clubs. Mr. Bishop Debbarma proposed the vote of thanks.
